So there were a handful of things I considered bitching blogging about today, but I had such a phenomenal work day that when my friend (thanks Michelle) sent me this I just had to put it up. Racism is my second favorite pastime…and white women is my first favorite so I couldn’t be happier.
Oddly enough go to www.www-tybowman.com …if you’re going to change the world pick a better name than C.O.W.S.
Matt Groening’s initial plan for the Simpsons. Before he decided he didn’t want to give up the rights to his characters (Jeff and Akbar would’ve been a hit) and drew this on a yellow notepad in the lobby before his meeting…
Ok, I’ll be the first to admit that I am partially biased because my good friend, Erron Jay, is in this commercial but is CBS serious? For starters they’re airing Tim Tebow’s abortion commercial. And then to add a bit of fuel to this fire they’re also planning to air a commercial for a gay dating site. Now, don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against either of these ads. I’m just confused on how Go Daddy ended up being the commercial that CBS though would offend the most viewers. However, banned press has always been good press in my book and I expect this to garner more views for Go Daddy than they would’ve gotten if this spot aired on Super Sunday. They probably have an inside man helping them get their commercials banned so they can save the money on air-time just like PETA…oh you didn’t know?
See Erron Lola’s commercial here:
Lesson of the day (revisited from Superbowl ‘09): Getting your commercial banned is good publicity. Viral videos are better than Superbowl commercials and they cost less to air. (posted exactly a year apart…coincidence?)
I am thoroughly amazed at how this got on the air. However, I am also thoroughly happy that there’s a product out there like this by women for women. Cheers.
Lesson of the day: I think this should be the new snuggie.
This show was so ahead of it’s time it’s not even fair. I recall staying up late to catch MTV’s Undressed at around midnight when I was in grade school and high school because the show was just that damn good. It did it’s best to portray every type of relationship possible and in my opinion they did a pretty damn good job (6 seasons worth of a damn good job). And inevitably someone always got undressed.
Watch all six seasons of my 2nd favorite scripted MTV show here. (I think I’ll post my first next week)
Lesson of the day:Adam Brody did undressed before the OC was even a drunk thought at an over-priced club on Sunset.
I had to post this for the humor if nothing else. This is a clip of Kate Gosselin and her 8 kids before an interview with Access Hollywood. I would totally understand if she denied her child water because they didn’t have time right away, but I could not stop laughing when she ordered herself a bottle, drank it, and then put it out of reach. And the pump fake at the end is priceless. I’ve never really watched the show, but I thought Kate knew that the cameras are always rolling. HAPPY 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
Lesson of the day: Read what you sign when you do “reality” tv. They are always watching. And man do they get some good footage.
